FRANCIS FLEMING,

Companion of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Officer Administering the Government and Commander-in-Chief of the Colony of Hongkong and its Dependencies and Vice-Admiral of the same, in pursuance of Article XXIII of the Royal Instructions to the Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over the Colony of Hongkong and its Dependencies, bearing date the 19th day of January, 1888, do hereby certify that adequate and timely notification of the Private Ordinance entitled "An Ordinance for the Incorporation of The Procureur General, in Hongkong, of the Society of the Missions Etrangeres" hereunto annexed was made of the parties' intention to apply for the same before such Ordinance was brought into the Legislative Council, and I do hereby declare that such notification was made by public advertisement in the Government Gazette of the 14th and 21st December, 1889, respectively, and by publication of the Ordinance Gazette of the 14th December 1889.
